We have had a wonderful first term at Woodford Primary School for all our pupils and school community. To end a brilliant term, we have wrapped up some of the highlights from the last few months…
Secret Reader
Reception and Year 1 at Woodford Primary have had a great time with all our secret readers every week. We have had parents and carers come in and read to our pupils, whilst keeping their identity a secret. In Reception, the pupils are given 3 clues to guess whose parent will be coming in to read. We appreciate all 6 parents who have taken part – all the pupils have massively enjoyed themselves!

Forest School
Pupils thoroughly enjoyed their forest school sessions this term. Despite the frosty weather, the children had fun exploring in nature and digging.

Nativity
Each year our pupils really look forward to the nativity and they always embody the characters. Whilst this is an exciting and interactive performance, it is also for our pupils to learn all about advent and the nativity. They all did a fabulous job this year with lots of energy and worked hard learning their lines.

Autumn Walks for EYFS Pupils
We have been taking our pupils on some autumn walks where they get the chance to get some fresh air, burn some energy whilst playing with their friends and being around nature and learning about their surroundings.

Reception visit to the Avro Museum
Reception have been on a school trip to the Avro Museum this term where they had a guided tour and access to all the cockpits and learnt some history behind the planes and war. This was really interactive, and all the pupils really enjoyed themselves.
That’s a wrap! From all of us at Woodford Primary School, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
